About Mrs. Beaudry

Mrs. Beaudry has been involved in music in the New Port Richey community for 5 years and has taught in both public and private schools. She is the principal clarinetist for the Hernando Symphony Orchestra and has been a private lesson teacher for clarinet and piano. She has been involved with music professionally for over 25 years. This includes playing in church choirs and orchestras; conducting choirs and bands; performing in and directing musical plays; and continues doing concert work with her husband. While she enjoys playing for different organizations, her greatest joy is seeing students light up when they learn a new musical concept.

Musical focus for the different grades:

Kinder – Begin fundamental music reading skills using the piano keyboard.

1st – Beginning piano keyboard reading and playing skills.

2nd – Recorder Karate: A graded program that teaches reading and playing recorders.

3rd – Recorder ensemble: Students learn to play solo and with others on their recorders.

4th  & 5th – Handchimes: Beginning with simple deskbells and then moving to handchimes, students progress through a series of progressive pieces of music  as a team with the rest of the class. These songs will also include other instruments such as percussion occasionally.

Students of all grades learn a variety of educational and fun songs, music reading, writing and history, and prepare for various programs, such as for the Holiday and Spring concerts. We bring in a variety of teaching methods, such as playing games and using technology, as well as using traditional methods, such as quizzing.
