Here’s what you can look forward to this month in Mrs. Tighe’s Terrific Kindergarten Class: 

Language Arts: We will continue to sound and blend and learn new sounds, spellings and words!  In addition, we will introduce two new readers, Lee-Lee the Sheep and The Shy Beast.  The children are constantly amazing me with the sentences they are creating.  They also are now learning how to correct mistakes in sentences as well!  

Mathematics:  The children have been learning a great deal about numbers through 100.  They are becoming experts at patterns and identifying types of patterns. 

Social Studies:  In addition to our curriculum we will learn about Martin Luther King Jr. and the importance of not judging people by the way they look.
