The Week of January 30th, - February 3rd, 2012

The class is preparing for their next Science assessment. We’ll take the world of matter and display our knowledge. Physical properties of matter can be colorful, strange, or bumpy. Chemical properties of matter are sometimes delicious, dangerous, and fascinating!

The students have fallen back into the world of multiplication. Please be sure that they are practicing their multiplication tables at home. Multiplication will be a part of everything we do in math for the rest of the year. In order to succeed, the students will have to practice their multiplication facts every weekend.

In English, the class and I will embark on a quest of the highest importance. The students will find the key to utilizing quotations appropriately in a sentence. With this challenge behind us, it will be time to use commas again. This time, however, we are pairing them up with names.

Our comprehension story of the week is Susan.
