Mrs. Rivera’s Third Grade

The week of September 6 – September 10

There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 6, 2010.

This Friday, we will have our Patriot Day Assembly at 9:15 a.m. Please wear red, white, and blue! 

The Third Grade is continuing to do a fantastic job!  This week, we will continue with our Reading unit on “Friendship”.  In English, we will be having our Unit 1 test on, “Sentence and Paragraph structure,” Wednesday, September 8, 2010.  In Social Studies we will begin chapter 1, learning about “Communities.” In Math, we will be finishing up with Chapter 1 and reviewing our concepts in class preparing for our test the following week. 

Reminders:

• Please remember that Reading Logs count toward the Reading Comprehension grade on the report card and are due (signed by parent) on the first day of the school week!  Students must read for 20 minutes each night.
• Please remember to look over the chapter vocabulary and review sheets to prepare for any upcoming tests.
