Mrs. Lees’ Spectacular Second Grade

February 6-10, 2012 

We have made it through the twenty-second week of school!  Everyone has been working very hard and it sure has paid off.  The grades for the unit two vocabulary tests were terrific!  All my students did such an excellent job.  I am very proud of you all. 

We are excited about our upcoming field trip to Legoland this Thursday.  We will be leaving school by bus promptly at 7:45 a.m., and do not anticipate returning until 5:00 p.m. (depending on traffic).  Your child will not need to bring a lunch.  Lastly, students should wear their orange Genesis t-shirts and comfortable shoes. 

Every Friday at Genesis we have the OWL NEWS NETWORK (ONN).  On Friday, February 10^th, the Second Grade students will be featured on the ONN (WOW)!  You will get to see us say the Pledge of Allegiance, sing a Patriotic Song, say our Character Pledge, sing the Genesis School Song, and give a special class performance.  I encourage the Second Grade parents to come check out the fun!   

Second Grade is looking forward to our Valentine’s party.  Our sign-up sheet for party goods is by the door if you would like to contribute anything for our party.
