FIRST GRADE NEWSLETTER #18

JANUARY CHARACTER TRAIT:  Trustworthiness – Being honest and telling the truth.  Trustworthy people do what they say they will do.  They do what they know is right even if it is hard to do so.  A trustworthy person is a loyal friend.

I hope your child has told you about our classroom grocery store – LUCKY LARRY’S!  Students have organized and priced all of the donated “store items”.  We are learning to write receipts and total the cost of items purchased, using dimes and pennies.  We are having so much fun!  Much learning is taking place in First Grade!

We read books and completed our second book report.  Be on the look out for the next Genesis Book Nook Publication!  J

RAINBOW BRIDGE stories for this week:

“The Three Little Bears” (Parts 1 and 2) ----- Have fun as a family reading this familiar childhood tale!  J
